What is Mossgate?

A Pixelsprout original arcade game. You roll a sprout cart through gates and grow a bloom number without hitting a gate that is too tall.

How do I score?

Distance adds score on its own. Clearing a gate adds a bonus. A crash keeps the score you had at that moment.

What does a times-two gate do?

It doubles your bloom, up to 99. It does not double the score. A bigger bloom only lets you survive taller dew and thorns.

When does a dew drop end the run?

When its number is higher than your bloom. A dew drop at your size or lower is safe, scores, and adds one to the bloom.

When does a thorn end the run?

When its number is higher than your bloom. A shorter thorn is smashed, scores, and adds one to the bloom.

Does it save?

Your best score stays in this browser under a Mossgate key. Clearing the site data clears the score.

Is it free, and does it work on a phone?

Yes. Nothing to install. Tap either side of the game to change lanes. A keyboard works too.
