2048 Cube Run Tips and Strategy

2048 Cube Run is a runner where a numbered cube rolls down a long white track on its own and picks up more numbered cubes along the way. These tips come from runs on Level 1, including one that reached the finish strips and one that ended back at the start screen.

Press CLICK TO START! under the floating cube on the Level 1 screen. The run begins at once and the cube keeps moving forward without any input.
Hold the mouse button and drag sideways to move your cube across the track. Dragging left slid it toward the left side, so small drags are enough to line up with a cube ahead.
Stay away from the very edge of the track. In one run the cube was dragged all the way to the left edge, and a few seconds later the game was back on the Level 1 start screen.
Cubes you collect stack up on your cube in a column. In one run the stack grew to show 2, 2, 8, 4, 128 and 32 before the finish line, so it is worth chasing the cubes in your lane.
Past the checkered finish line the track turns into colored strips marked X2, X4 and higher. Your stack is spent along those strips, so a taller stack carries you further.

Start the run, keep your cube near the middle with short drags and grab what sits in your lane. A tall stack at the finish line is what pushes you up the multiplier strips.

What happens at the finish line

After the checkered line, the track becomes a ramp of colored strips. The first was a wide dark blue X2 strip, then a green X4 strip, with more strips with higher values beyond it. As the cube climbs them, the stack shrinks until only a single cube is left.

Then the Level Cleared screen appears. On Level 1 it showed REWARD +100 coins and a curved bar of multipliers reading x2, x3, x4, x3 and x2 with a moving arrow above a WATCH ADS & GET button, which offers extra coins (+200 and +300 were shown). NEXT LEVEL sits on the same screen as WATCH ADS & GET (we didn't press it).

Coins and the Cube Value card

Coins in 2048 Cube Run are in-game points only. They are earned by playing and no real money is involved. The coin total sits in the top right corner, and it read 500 at the start of Level 1.

Below the starting cube is a Cube Value card that showed a 2 cube, x2 and the number 1000 next to a coin icon. That was more than the 500 coins on hand, so the card was not used in testing and its effect was not seen.
