Dot Link Puzzle - Connect the Dots - Frequently Asked Questions
How do you play Dot Link Puzzle?
Drag with the mouse from one colored dot through neighboring squares to the dot of the same color. Do this for every color without crossing lines. In the levels I played, the board also had to be completely filled.
Is there a timer or a move limit?
I did not see a timer, lives or a move limit. The game only counts your moves upward, so you can take as long as you like on each board.
What do the Basic and Specialty modes mean?
Basic has bundles from Beginner with 5 by 5 boards up to Pretty Hard with 9 by 9 boards. Specialty has themed bundles such as Blockers, which add dark blocked cells that your lines must go around, and Shapes.
Can I undo a mistake?
Yes. The UNDO button takes back your last move, and RESET clears the whole board. There is also a HINT button with a small number badge, which suggests hints are limited.
How do blocked cells work?
In the Blockers Starter bundle, which uses 6 by 6 boards, some squares are dark and cannot be used. You have to route every line around them, so plan those paths first.
Is Dot Link Puzzle free to play?
Yes, it runs in your browser on Pixelsprout with no download or account. An Ok, Play Now button appears first, and a small advertisement sits beside the game area.
Does it work on a phone?
I played with a mouse and did not see a separate touch guide, so I cannot say how it handles on a phone. The game is built around dragging, which usually carries over to touch screens.
