Is Skateboard Challenge free to play?

Yes. It plays in your browser on Pixelsprout with no download. An ad sat beside the game while I played, but it did not cover it.

How do you jump in Skateboard Challenge?

Press Space to ollie. When I did, the word OLLIE appeared at the bottom of the screen and I got +50 points.

How do you do tricks?

The controls screen lists Z for a kickflip, C for a heelflip and holding X for an indy grab. Grinds happen when you land on a rail, with Left, Right or Down held for different grinds.

How many levels are there?

The LEVEL SELECT screen shows eight levels. Only Level 1 is open at the start, and Levels 2 through 8 show padlocks.

What happens if you hit an obstacle?

Hitting the traffic cone ended my run right away. A TRY AGAIN screen shows your score and best score, with buttons for level select and restart.

What are the SKATE letters for?

The letters S, K, A, T and E appear in the top bar and stay grey until you collect them in the level. I picked up the S by jumping right at the start of Level 1.

Can you play as other skaters?

Yes. Jeff is unlocked from the start. On the SELECT SKATER screen, Emily costs 5000 coins and Mike costs 8000 coins.

Is there a sound setting?

The title screen has an AUDIO ON button, which appears to be the sound setting. I did not switch it off during my session.
