2048 - Frequently Asked Questions
Is 2048 free to play on Pixelsprout?
Yes. It runs in the browser with no download. A right-side ad was visible while I played but did not cover the board.
How do you move the tiles?
Click the board to focus it, then use the arrow keys: Left, Right, Up, and Down. Each key slides every tile in that direction.
What is the goal of 2048?
The game text says Join the numbers and get to the 2048 tile. Matching tiles merge into higher values as you slide the board.
What do Score and Best mean?
Score tracks the current run and rises when tiles merge. Best keeps your highest score after a reset. After Game Over, Try again set Score to 0 while Best stayed at 5,032.
Is there an Undo button?
I did not see an Undo control. Visible UI included the 2048 title, Score, Best, and New Game.
What happens when you lose?
When the board is full with no moves left, a Game Over overlay appears with Try again. Clicking it starts a new run.
Did you reach the 2048 tile?
No. My best tile in this session was 512, with a final score of 5,032 before Game Over. I did not see a win screen.
