How these picks compare with 2048
In my own session, 2048 was a 4x4 board moved with the four arrow keys, with Score and Best counters and no Undo button. I reached a 512 tile and a score of 5,032 before Game Over. I did not play the games below side by side with it, so I can only describe them from their page descriptions.
According to its description, 2048 Drag and Drop has you drag and drop tiles to double their value, while this 2048 is played with the arrow keys. Hexa Merge Puzzle is described as merging numbered blocks, and Merge Master - Puzzle as merging blocks at your own pace. Number Sums is described as picking grid cells to reach target sums across rows and columns, which is a different goal from merging tiles. I have not played any of these, so I cannot say how their difficulty or controls compare.
One game on Pixelsprout I did play is 2048 Cube Run. It is a different kind of game: the cube runs forward on its own down a three-lane track toward a finish line, and I could not confirm how steering works. In 2048 you choose every move yourself.
